A kit is for those who have found a pattern they like but would prefer to skip the calculations. You choose the pattern, size, and color – and receive the correct amount of yarn pre-selected for the project.

At Daugaard Garn, you will find both knitting kits and crochet kits for sweaters, cardigans, vests, tops, and accessories, among other things. For each individual kit, you can see which yarn the pattern is knitted or crocheted with, which sizes you can choose from, and exactly what the kit contains.

What does a kit contain?

A kit always contains the amount of yarn required for the size you choose.

The pattern varies from kit to kit. Some patterns are included as a digital PDF, others as a physical pattern, and in some cases, the pattern is purchased directly from the designer. It is always clearly stated on each kit how you will obtain the pattern.

Knitting needles, crochet hooks, buttons, and other knitting accessories are only included if specifically stated. If you are missing anything for your project, you can also find knitting needles, crochet hooks, and other accessories at Daugaard Garn.

Choose your own color

Of course, you don't have to choose the color shown in the pattern. With our kits, you can choose from the available colors of the yarn and make the design your own.

That is essentially the whole idea behind our kits: You find the pattern – we have provided the yarn and calculated the quantity for you.

Then there's only one small detail left: making it. 😉
