Back and forth

The Milano arm shawl is a simple extra layer for the shoulders with sleeves, so it stays in place. The shape is straightforward and practical when a blouse or shirt could use a little company.

You knit back and forth with double selvedge stitches. Finally, the sleeve seams are sewn together, and then you have a project where the shape slowly emerges row by row.

The finished arm shawl is perfect for throwing over an everyday blouse on a cool day. A small addition with quite a large reach.

Always make a swatch before you begin. If you have more stitches than indicated for 10 cm, you are knitting too tightly and should try a larger needle. If you have fewer stitches, you are knitting too loosely and should try a smaller needle.
