A cardigan with a clear, simple expression and a delicate lace pattern running along the front edge. The V-neck creates an open front, and the ribbed edges give the design a calm finish.

The stockinette stitch allows the lace pattern to stand out clearly, and knitted in Angel by Permin, the cardigan gets a light halo around the stitch definition. This creates a soft surface where the pattern and construction still appear sharp.

The cardigan is for intermediate knitters. It is knitted top-down, with the back piece first, after which the front pieces are picked up from the cast-on edge and knitted separately with increases for the V-neck and armholes.

Lace pattern is knitted on the front edge, stockinette stitch on the large sections, and ribbed edges as a finish. The sleeves are picked up from the armhole and shaped with short rows for the sleeve cap before continuing in the round with decreases. The button band is picked up and knitted back and forth with buttonholes.

Gauge: 21 sts x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles.
