Incredibly soft merino in the finest, lightest version.

Cool Wool Lace is 100% extrafine merino wool – and it is truly soft and lovely. The fine thread creates a light and elegant knit with a beautiful, clean stitch definition and the natural warmth and elasticity of merino.

The yarn is ideal for delicate blouses, tops, shawls and other light knitwear, where you want a soft result without much weight. With a full 400 meters per 50 grams, one ball goes an impressive long way.

Cool Wool Lace can also be used as a accompanying thread with other yarns if you want to add extra softness and warmth.

How much do you need approximately?
Surprisingly little is needed for an entire blouse. Lana Grossa's own patterns suggest around 3–4 balls for a blouse in size 36/38–40, depending on the model and pattern.

Choose Cool Wool Lace if you love truly soft merino and dream of light knitwear that still feels lovely and warm. When an entire blouse can be knitted with just a few balls, it's also a quality that's hard not to want to try.

Colours may vary slightly from screen to screen and may therefore differ slightly from the actual colour of the yarn.

Usage & expressions

Cool Wool Lace is particularly suitable for light sweaters, fine cardigans, blouses, and shawls. The thin yarn creates an elegant and light stitch definition, where both simple details and patterns stand out clearly.

Knitted alone, the yarn has a fine and airy expression. It can also be combined with a mohair or alpaca held-together yarn if you want more volume and a softer surface.

About the yarn

Cool Wool Lace is made in Italy from extra-fine merino wool from Australia. The fine wool gives the yarn a soft surface and natural elasticity.

The long running length makes it possible to create light garments with relatively few grams of yarn. At the same time, the merino wool provides warmth and breathability, so the finished knitwear can be worn throughout much of the year.

The yarn can be machine washed on a wool program, making it easy to care for.
