Gjá – Physical pattern

Gjá is a true Icelandic classic for children – featuring plenty of color play and a beautiful patterned yoke.

The cardigan has a graphic multicolor pattern across the yoke and at the cuffs, while the simple silhouette and button closure provide a timeless look.

The pattern allows you to play with as many as 7 colors, so you can keep it classic in natural tones or create an entirely different version with your own favorites.

The body and sleeves are knitted in the round from the bottom up. The pieces are joined at the armholes, after which the yoke is worked in the round with stranded colorwork and raglan decreases. Finally, the cardigan is cut open at the center front, and the front bands and buttonholes are knitted.

The pattern is designed for Léttlopi from Ístex, 100% Icelandic wool.

The model in the picture is knitted in Léttlopi in the colors White (0051), Silver Heather (0054), Light Ash (0056), Ash (0057), Dark Grey (0058), Charcoal (0005), and Black (0059).
