Cotton with more life than classic smooth cotton
Ida is a light cotton yarn with a fine slub structure, which gives small variations in the thread and thus a lively and relaxed expression in the finished knit. You still get the comfortable feel of cotton, but the surface gets more character than with a completely smooth cotton quality.
This makes Ida particularly suitable for simple designs, where the yarn itself is allowed to do some of the work. Even plain stockinette stitch gets texture and play, and it's perfect for the kind of light knitwear you actually want to wear when the temperature rises.
Ida consists of 90% cotton and 10% polyamide. The small amount of polyamide helps give the yarn a good structure and a finished knit that feels light and comfortable.

You don't need many skeins for a summer project. One of Permin's top models, for example, uses about 3 skeins in size M, while a T-shirt typically uses about 5 skeins in size M, depending on the model, length, and fit.
