Make it Tweed (texture & depth)

Rico Creative Make It Tweed is the easy shortcut to a tweed look. Knit or crochet this fine effect yarn together with your regular yarn, and the small coloured tweed flecks will appear between the stitches, giving even a solid-coloured yarn a new and more vibrant expression.

The fun thing about Make It Tweed is that you don't need to buy a special tweed yarn to get the effect. You can take a yarn quality you already love, choose the exact colour you want – and then add the tweed flecks on top. In this way, the same base colour can get an entirely different look depending on which Make It Tweed you combine it with.

Use it throughout an entire sweater, cardigan, or vest, or play with it in scarves, shawls, hats, and other accessories. It is also really lovely for crochet, where the tweed flecks can add more character to, for example, a simple crocheted bag, hat, or other accessory.

🧶 How much do you need?

Make It Tweed comes in large 50g balls with approx. 475 metres, so you go a long way with one ball. How much you need for an entire sweater or cardigan depends on the size, the pattern, and the meterage of the yarn you are combining it with. For smaller projects or if you only use the tweed effect on selected parts, 1 ball can go a very long way.
