Shawl in Setasuri

A large, soft shawl with graphic color blocks and long fringe – perfect for adding a little extra edge to knitwear, coats, and jackets.

The wide color blocks give the shawl a modern and vibrant look, while the simple cut makes it easy to wear. Measuring approx. 75 x 199 cm, it is large enough to wrap around your shoulders or use as a lovely, warm scarf.

The design was originally created in Silkhair from Lana Grossa, but for our kit, we have chosen Setasuri from Lana Grossa – a light and soft blend of suri alpaca and silk. You choose three colors yourself, allowing you to create exactly the look you want: calm and tone-on-tone or with clear contrasts.

The shawl is worked back and forth in stockinette stitch using the intarsia technique, where the color blocks emerge as you go. The double edge stitches provide a nice finish along the sides, and finally, the long fringe is knotted at both ends.

A wonderful project for those who love simple knitting but want to play a bit more with colors – and a finished shawl that can really elevate an outfit.
