Snjóborg means "snow town", and the pattern is inspired by the special tranquility that settles over the city when snow falls. The small houses and snowflakes stand out beautifully in the pattern, while the simple rib trim creates a calm finish.

The mittens are knitted in the round from the wrist up, and the pattern is knitted according to a chart. Stitches are cast off along the way for the thumb, which is finished last. A cozy and varied project for those who enjoy Fair Isle knitting.
