Back and forth

Tistel is a beautiful shawl with a decorative lace pattern that adds plenty of life to the finished look. Its large size makes it perfect for over the shoulders, but also large enough to wrap around your neck when it gets cooler.

The shawl is knitted in Esther by Permin, which suits the detailed pattern very well and results in a light and versatile shawl.

You start at the wide decorative border and knit the shawl diagonally back and forth. Along the way, the shawl is shaped with decreases on the purl rows, while the lace pattern is knitted according to a chart. This makes for an exciting knitting process, where the work gradually becomes narrower towards the tip of the shawl.

The finished shawl measures approximately 155 cm in width and 70 cm in height at the center – a good size if you want a shawl that can actually be used for more than just decoration.

The pattern is included as a digital PDF and is sent automatically after purchase.
