Elaine Slipover is one of those designs where the pattern really does the work. The high ribbed neck, wide shoulders, and continuous texture pattern give the slipover a distinct look, while still being easy to wear over shirts, T-shirts, and dresses alike.
It is knitted from the bottom up in two pieces, with the front and back worked back and forth following a chart. The shoulders are joined, the side seams are sewn, and finally, stitches are picked up for the neckline and armhole edges. This makes for a project with good variation throughout and a beautiful, well-crafted result.
In our kit, the Elaine Slipover is knitted in Organic Wool+Nettles No.3 from ONIONKnit held together with Angel by Permin. The pattern was originally developed for Organic Wool+Nettles No.3 and Silk+Kid Mohair from ONIONKnit, but in our kit, we have replaced the Silk+Kid Mohair with Angel by Permin.
OnionNo.3 provides structure and definition to the pattern, while Angel adds a soft, light halo. The garment is worked with one strand of each yarn quality held together throughout.

The model in the photo is knitted in Organic Wool+Nettles No.3 in color 1126 and Silk+Kid Mohair in color 3005.
