Elaine slipover – Digital pattern

The Elaine Slipover combines a striking texture pattern with a simple, straight fit and a high ribbed neckline. It is precisely this contrast between the clean cut and the decorative pattern that makes the design interesting – both to knit and to wear.

The slipover is knitted from the bottom up in two pieces. The front and back are knitted back and forth following a chart; the shoulders are joined, and the side seams are sewn. Finally, the neckline and armhole edges are knitted, which gives the design a beautiful finish.

The original pattern was developed for Organic Wool+Nettles No.3 and Silk+Kid Mohair from ONIONKnit, which are held together with one strand of each quality.

At Daugaard Garn, we have curated a kit for this design using Organic Wool+Nettles No.3 from ONIONKnit and Angel by Permin. Angel replaces the original Silk+Kid Mohair and still provides the soft, light accompanying thread that suits the pattern so well.
