Mistur – Physical recipe

Mistur is a classic Icelandic children's sweater with a beautiful multi-coloured yoke.

The design draws its inspiration from the Icelandic landscape – mist, ash, mountains and sky merge into a calm graphic pattern that continues down the sleeves.

The sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up. Body and sleeves are knitted separately and joined at the armholes. The yoke is then knitted in the round with fair isle knitting and decreases according to the chart.

The pattern is designed for Léttlopi from Ístex, 100% Icelandic wool. Mistur is also available as a knitting kit from Daugaard Garn, where you can choose the 4 colours for the model yourself.

The pattern is delivered as a printed pattern and sent to you by post.

The model in the picture is knitted in Léttlopi in the colours ash grey (0054), light denim (1700), light grey (0056) and denim (1701).
