Selir – Physical recipe

Selir is a classic Icelandic sweater with a pattern inspired by the seals along the coast of Iceland.

The beautiful multi-coloured yoke is the eye-catcher of the design and combines traditional Icelandic expression with small details such as French knots. The sweater is designed for adults, and the pattern includes different sleeve lengths for men and women.

The sweater is knitted in the round, bottom-up. The body and sleeves are knitted separately and joined at the armholes. The yoke is then continued in the round with pattern and decreases, while the neckline is shaped with short rows.

The pattern is designed for Léttlopi from Ístex, 100% Icelandic wool.

The pattern is provided as a printed pattern and will be sent to you by post.
