Sailor Cardigan

Twists, a textured pattern and a neat button placket — Sømands Cardi is a cardigan that looks more advanced than it is. The characteristic sailor bubble pattern gives the design its own unique expression and is placed on the body of a classic raglan knitted top-down.

The construction makes it easy to follow the shape as you go — you can watch the cardigan take shape from the first round, and the pattern quickly settles into a good rhythm. Bubbles that dip into stitches five rows below provide that three-dimensional texture that is hard to forget.

The kit is put together using Organic Wool + Nettles No. 4 from ONION — a soft and durable organic yarn that takes colour beautifully and gives a vibrant, natural look. The yarn is 100% natural fibre and is perfect for a project that needs to be used and last.

The cardigan is knitted top-down with raglan in sizes 1 to 8 years — with space for 7 to 10 buttons depending on the size. A project that requires a little patience, but rewards those who persevere.
