Cardigan with ridges

Cardigan with ridges is a really lovely little cardigan, where the simple pattern makes all the difference. The vertical ridges run throughout the design, giving it a beautiful, calm look, while the front buttons make it both classic and easy for little ones to wear.

The design is knitted from the top down in one piece, so you start at the neck and watch the cardigan take shape as you go. The yoke is knitted back and forth with increases that gradually add width, and the buttonholes are made along the front edge as you work. Once the yoke is finished, the work is divided for the body and sleeves, and the body continues straight down with no subsequent assembly required.
